1. Look for an ESOL course
Good English helps with daily life, work and talking to schools and doctors. ESOL courses are classes that teach English to speakers of other languages.
What to do: Use the National Careers Service find a course tool and search for ESOL near your postcode. Compare course times, locations and levels, then contact a provider to ask about joining and any fees or free places.
What do you need: You need your postcode, your current English level and a rough idea of when you are free to study.
Outcomes: You will have one or more ESOL course options that can improve your English over time.
Lifehack: Ask if there is a waiting list and add your name even if the class is full, because places can open unexpectedly.
2. Check free training and course options
3. Ask the council or local services about support groups
