1. Get a right to work share code
Before you start a new job in the United Kingdom, an employer must check that you can work. With an eVisa they use a share code instead of a physical card.
What to do: Open the GOV.UK service to prove your right to work and sign in with your UKVI account. Create a new share code and send it to your employer together with your date of birth.
What do you need: You need your UKVI login details, your passport and the correct email address for the employer or recruiter.
Outcomes: Your employer will be able to confirm your right to work and your job start date will not be delayed by status checks.
Lifehack: Share codes have a time limit, so generate a fresh code shortly before you send it to the employer.
